Like a flower turning toward the light
I have stretched toward the sun
east to west, dawn to dusk.
I have felt my way
through the giant stems of my past
yet they root me still in dappled earth.
I am a writer represented by agent Susan Cohen of Writers House and focused on picture books and novels in verse. My essays and travel articles have been published in the Boston Globe, LA Times, Japan Times, and Princeton Alumni Weekly. Look for my poetry in the upcoming anthology Friends and Anemones: Ocean Poems for Children.
I am also a mother of three who loves speedskating, skydiving, and -- most of all -- the cozy comforts of hygge.
